I have had a long and varied career that has taken me from Texas to New York to Milwaukee, working for magazines, the art world and marketing agencies, but one theme that has thread throughout my years is a commitment to Creativity. Whether managing design teams and workflows, collaborating with art directors and clients or writing copy and stories myself, I have always focused on professional ideas – to inform, promote, enlighten or simply to amuse. I write the best words, organize projects and processes and lead creative teams.
Words
I love words – putting pen to paper or pixel to page. While I have often focused on collaboration – working and editing others – there is nothing like writing alone. My words have been been published in national magazines and online articles, ran as headlines and copy in campaigns and provided content for websites. I can create marketing copy, B2B communication, interactive experiences and even poetry. But beyond coming up with the right words and big ideas, I have the experience and passion to guide projects from ideation through execution.
Project Management
I am an experienced project whisperer and I am at my best when I have to juggle multiple assignments, timelines and deadlines. I love finding the perfect formula – the unique mix of creative personnel, combined with third party partners, solutions and tools to deliver jobs successfully and creatively. I drive decisions based on impact, efficiency and financial considerations. Over 15 Years at companies such as Sotheby’s, Condé Nast and New York Magazine have provided a substantial portfolio of digital, online, experiential and traditional projects.
Creative Operations
As someone who has long led Creative Services Operations, I am well versed in creating and managing in-house creative agencies and customizing workflows and project management solutions. I specialize in process evaluation, cross-functional optimization, content management strategy, honing project management tools & systems, and solving all the problems and blockers that drain motivation and kill morale. I enjoy supervising internal and external team operations in global settings – driving, organizing and inspiring others. I plan, lead, organize and inspire.
